It's taken me years to acquire enough cover images to build these web pages. At first, I assumed that there were simply very few of the books written during the vintage period. And, while there were certainly a lot more lesbian books published, it turns out that there was also a significant number of male homosexual books and novels in print during the late 60's and 70's.

While most of what I call the "Sleaze Publishers" did print at least some male homosexual titles, the various Greenleaf labels were responsible for the majority (at least in my database): Adult Books, Companion Books, Greenleaf Classics, Late Hour Library, and especially Pleasure Reader (which printed more than 150 titles). Outside of Greenleaf, French Line and Brandon House were also heavily into the genre.
