Sci-Fi Art

A Graphic History

by Steve Holland

Collins Design (an imprint of HarperCollins), New York. Oversized paperback, 192 pages. Full color pictures throughout. Pulps, digests, paperbacks, comic books, movie posters, even toy action figures. The book discusses in great detail the art of various genres and the artists who brought graphic "reality" to a previously unreal art form. From the magazines of the late 19th Century to current video game design, this book covers it all, and does a nice job of it.
