The authors attempted to document the rise of the specialty and small press publishers in the field. Each publisher is given a section with a listing in detail of their publications. Advent, Carcosa House, Arkham House, and Polaris Press are just a few of the companies examined. A cross-index by title, author, and publisher will help you locate certain titles. This information was corrected and updated for a new larger edition in 1991.
