Fantasy Classification System

by Alistair Cameron

Canadian Science Fiction Association, St. Vital, Manitoba. 1952. Mimeographed. 52 pages. (8½ X 11¼). Acknowledgments, Introduction, and other materials by the author. The author has come up with an elaborate classification for the field. It has the appearance of the old Dewey Decimal System, with lots of numbered breakdowns to represent every imaginable subject in the field of fantasy literature. The material is very well typed and very neat and it is fun to read all of the different categories. You would probably get very mixed up trying to understand the number notations on each story, so it would be impractical to use it in organizing your collection. It is fascinating looking at it though.
