The title page includes the subtitle "Volume 1." Evidently, this book was a long time in the making (and it was greatly anticipated by the SF community), but to date, there is no "Volume 2."

As mentioned in the previous review, Budrys wrote a critical column for Galaxy Magazine until 1971. In 1975, he continued that column in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. Here are 47 of those columns, continuing some of the most critically acclaimed non-fiction writings in the history of the genre. If you are an advocate of Sci Fi, both books should be on your shelf.
