A & W Visual Library, New York. 1976. Trade paperback. 176 pages. (8¼ X 10½). Introduction by the author. Many black-and-white illustrations from the fantasy and horror magazines are included. A lot of the illustrations are from Gothic Chapbooks, Shilling Shockers, Penny Bloods, Penny Dreadfuls, and Victorian sources. There are a number of pieces from the pulps. Weird Tales is well represented with many covers and interiors. Some of the artwork is grouped according to the writer it is illustrating, such as H. P. Lovecraft, Robert Bloch, and Ray Bradbury.
