This is a very good collection of stories by Raoul Whitfield, Dashiell Hammett, James M. Cain, Norbert Davis, Erle Stanley Gardner, and many others. In fact, just about all of the contributors are famous names in the field of hard-boiled pulp crime stories. Penzler provides very interesting introductions to each story. An excellent collection.
