This was the first volume of more than ten that reprinted Brown’s pulp fiction. Fred Brown had a long career in the pulp magazines with many clever mystery stories. Some of these stories were reprinted in Brown’s own collections and in anthologies, but quite a few were never reprinted in any form. This collection of seven stories was reprinted from Detective Tales, G-Men Detective, Thrilling Mystery, and other pulp magazines of the 1940s.
