Short chapter on "collecting basics," followed by a great section of short histories of the major publishing houses. Another chapter includes brief bios of 100 cover artists. The price reference of over 12,000 books is just that - a list of actual prices of selected books sold by major booksellers and at auction. It is NOT, as Warren's and Hancer's books were, an attempt to list all early books published by the major publishing houses. Some books are listed more than once, showing different prices for varying conditions. It also covers paperbacks printed in the 60's and 70's which he believes collectable.
