He does chapters on Lew Archer, James Bond, Nick Carter, Charlie Chan, Mike Hammer, Sherlock Holmes, Philip Marlowe, Ellery Queen, Sam Spade, and just about any other that you can think of. He provides an analysis of the character and the stories, the authors, a bibliography of the books, and a filmography. Each chapter is great fun to read.
