The Delightful Diversion

by Reginald Brewer

Macmillan, New York, 1935. Hardcover (dust jacket unknown). Light gray boards with red trim and gold lettering. 320 pages. B&W illustrated bookplates throughout. Probably one of the earliest books on collecting that espouses the concepts of today's collectors. A lot of emphasis on the identification of first editions, stress on condition, identification of various bindings, and dust wrappers (jackets). If you collect "books on books," this is one of the must-haves.
