Queer Pulp
by Susan Stryker
Chronicle Books, 2001. Oversized paperback, 128 pages. A big, flashy book with some of the paperback industry's most lurid and sensational cover art. Full color illustrations throughout. The book has a slipcover that is vaguely reminiscent of an Ace double novel; that is, it presents two covers, one illustrating a lesbian scene and one with a male homosexual scene. You can choose which cover you want on the front. It's a good book, dealing with a topic that is both serious and sensational, and always a bit tongue-in-cheek, with chapters entitled "Love is a Many-Gendered Thing," and "It's a Gay, Gay, Gay, Gay World."
