The Mystery of Agatha Christie

An Intimate Biography of the First Lady of Crime

by Gwen Robyns

Penguin Books, New York. 1979. Mass market paperback. 320 pages. (4¼ X 7¼). One of the better biographies of Agatha Christie. Robyns writes about Christie’s mysterious disappearance in the 1920s and how The Murder of Roger Ackroyd came to be written. The Mousetrap, written by Christie, is probably the longest running play in history. It started in 1952 and I think it is still running in London. There are two sections of photos included. The appendix lists the Christie titles and plays.
