He attempts to show the places where Hammett lived and worked, with special emphasis on the places mentioned in his books and stories. There are a number of street maps and buildings shown that were in Hammett’s life. There is a list of sources that Herron uses to verify certain locations and incidents in his book. Definitely for the Hammett completist.
