by Jane Frank

Paper Tiger, London. 2001. Hardcover in dust jacket. 128 pages. (9 X 11¾). Foreword by Vincent Di Fate. Powers was one of the most amazing artists of science fiction images. He was active from at least 1945 to 1997. Nearly all of his artwork was of strange and fascinating visions; he rarely had truly human figures in his paintings. His images had all sorts of strange objects to look at and study. His son, Richard Gid Powers writes of his father’s work throughout this volume. A long chronological bibliography of Power’s output is included . He did an amazing amount of work over the years. Highly recommend.
