These books were published beginning in 1948 for a run of 46 titles. Novel Library was probably the first true "Sleaze" label printed solely in mass market format. It was a division of Diversey Books, which was in turn produced by Avon. Like Eton, they look an awful lot like Avon's books. Many of the writers Avon relied on for big sales were represented, including Jack Woodford, James Hadley Chase, and Maxwell Bodenheim.
