Manor Books was a direct continuation of
Macfadden Books after the that Publishing Company decided not to publish
paperbacks anymore.
(info

And here's a little info on Manor's
numbering system from Grant Thiessen:
Manor continued with the sequences used by Macfadden,
and then changed as follows:
around 150-106, Manor continued with numbers 15xxx $1.50 cover prices
16xxx $1.65 cover price
17xxx $1.75 cover price
19xxx $1.95 cover price -- also 23xxx
22xxx $2.25 cover price
around 75-483, Manor continued with numbers 75xxx 75 cent cover price
around 95-228, Manor continued with numbers 95xxx 95 cent cover price
around 125-146, Manor continued with numbers 12xxx $1.25 cover prices
odd example: the 1973 printing of The Pawnbroker uses number 125-146, the
1974 printing uses 12146, which makes it hard to pinpoint the exact
transition points of the numbering sequences
